KiTech Software legal
Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for lawful, secure, and responsible use of KiTech Software services.
1. Scope
This policy applies when you access or use a KiTech Software website, product, service, API, hosted environment, support channel, or partner application that links to it.
Product-specific rules may add stricter requirements where necessary for safety, regulation, security, or community governance.
2. General requirement
You must use KiTech services lawfully, honestly, and in a manner that does not harm other people, organisations, systems, or the service itself.
3. Prohibited activity
You must not use a KiTech service to:
- violate applicable law, regulation, court order, or another person’s rights;
- distribute malware, malicious code, phishing content, or fraudulent material;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, data, or networks;
- interfere with service availability, integrity, performance, or security;
- evade access controls, rate limits, usage limits, safety controls, or technical restrictions;
- impersonate another person or organisation or misrepresent your authority;
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, defraud, or deliberately endanger another person;
- publish or distribute unlawful sexual content, child sexual abuse material, or content that facilitates sexual exploitation;
- promote terrorism, violent extremist activity, or credible threats of violence;
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, data-protection, or other legal rights;
- send spam or conduct deceptive or unlawful marketing;
- scrape, crawl, probe, or automate access in a way that materially burdens the service or violates published technical rules;
- use the service to develop, distribute, or operate a competing service through unauthorised copying of proprietary material; or
- assist another person in carrying out prohibited activity.
4. Security research
Good-faith security research must follow the Responsible Disclosure Policy. Activity outside that policy may be treated as unauthorised access.
5. User content and communities
Services that permit user-generated content may apply the Community Guidelines and Child Safety Standards.
You remain responsible for content and activity associated with your account, subject to rights and protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Enforcement
Where reasonably necessary, KiTech may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including:
- warning the user;
- removing or restricting content;
- limiting a feature or account;
- suspending or terminating access;
- preserving relevant records where legally required; and
- reporting unlawful activity to an appropriate authority.
Immediate action may be taken where delay would create a material safety, legal, security, or operational risk.
We will consider context, severity, repetition, intent, impact, and available evidence. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a route to challenge a decision.
7. Reporting concerns
Report abuse, safety concerns, or suspected violations to hello@kitechsoftware.com. Include the product, account or content involved, relevant URLs or identifiers, and enough information for the issue to be assessed.
Do not send illegal content as an email attachment. Provide identifiers or secure handling information instead.
8. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, product functionality, safety risks, or service operations. Material changes will be identified by the version and effective date.
